I was wondering if anyone has had or heard of this issue???

I've had my allgig installed for about a year now and everything has worked fine.
Just the other day, my NAV is working completely backwards now..... Has anyone ran into this problem? I disconnected the neg. side of the battery for about a 1/2 hour and reconnected it, hoping it would reset but no luck.... Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jorge

Either double click the power button or turn off forced camera mode. Your deck thinks it is in reverse.

I tried to double click the power button and nothing changed. When I look at the map everything is on the wrong side.
When parked at work, I know the river is to the right of me but when I look at the map on the NAV it shows it to the left of me.

Let me see if I can reproduce this on the RER in the Jeep. I have a suspicion it is a factory optional setting such as heading North or South, East or West. I'll post back tomorrow. What current software are you running on your MYGIG?

I had this in the JK for an entire day.  It's a bug in the MyGIG. a Mygig software update should fix this.

Here is a fix for the "driving backwards bug"  resetting the calibration of the GPS.

I just thought it may help you...     I have to do this from time to time.

===================
OK  First off the MyGIG engineering menu is a dangerous place...

Please be VERY careful when using this menu.

To access the Engineering Menu of your MyGIG:

Press the 3 Hard Keys on the front of the unit all at the same time : SEEK UP  / SEEK DOWN  / MENU
( Not while driving...  the latest version of the MyGig software will prevent you from accessing the menu while moving )

Once done correctly you should see a screen that looks like this..

Press page down on the screen till you get to page 4 of 5

Press the Nav Debug Menu button on the screen and you will get a blank option screen....   Press the page up button on the screen three times till you see a new option Reset Calibration is seen

Press the Reset Calibration button on the screen and the button changes over to Calibration has been reset

Now just keep hitting the big left facing arrow in the upper left hand corner of the screen till you get back to the normal radio screen and the NAV should show you driving in the right direction again.

If the satellite count continues to be low, you may have to do this again etc...

Sorry for the cell phone pics ...
=================

Good luck!
